Steve Kelly is an accomplished business leader and sales executive with a proven record of success driving profitable revenue growth. In his role as SVP of Sales & Business Development, he leads by example, guiding his team to produce top results. Committed to excellence and continuous improvement, Steve is passionate about serving and positively impacting the lives of others.
Prior to joining Building Champions in 2017, Steve’s former leadership roles include: Vice President of Americas Sales with security screening solutions supplier Rapiscan Systems, Vice President of Sales with start-up broadband telecommunications company Rhythms NetConnections, and most recently, Executive Vice President of Sales with enterprise and data center IT solution provider M2 Technology. He also spent more than 10 years at Hewlett-Packard in various customer-facing sales and sales leadership positions.
Steve has led successful business development initiatives in both solutions (B2B) and product (B2C) market environments. He executed go-to-market strategies aimed at building strategic alliances resulting in collaborative, trusted partnerships. Steve is goal-oriented and a tough competitor, but first and foremost, he is a supportive leader who inspires his team to consistently deliver exceptional results while developing client relationships that receive rave reviews.
He has served on the Board of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation and currently sits as a board member of the Branden Lombardi Foundation, whose mission is to improve the quality of life for cancer patients. Steve holds Bachelor’s degrees in Business and Economics from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
Steve and his wife, Margot, relocated from Phoenix, Arizona, and currently reside in Portland, Oregon, closer to their two adult sons who live in the same city. Outside of work, Steve’s many interests include hiking, running, golfing, skiing, fitness activities and most sports. He also enjoys community and charitable work, music, and the performing arts.
