Dan Breene

Recognized as a highly skilled business executive with 50 years of experience in the financial services and technology industries, Dan had been mentoring and coaching informally for years before joining Building Champions.
Dan’s extensive business experience includes past C-level positions ranging from CEO, Vice Chairman, President and CFO at companies including Crocker Bank, Transamerica, GE Capital, Westinghouse Credit, PacifiCorp Financial Services, Tektronix and Sanford C. Bernstein & Co. as well as two technology startups.
His passion for excellence comes from his U.S. Military service as a nuclear weapons courier officer. Says Dan, “It goes back to my training – you are responsible for everything your organization does, or fails to do.”
Dan joined Building Champions in 2014 to help business leaders cut through the competing demands for their time, build stronger teams and achieve their goals both at work and in their personal lives. Dan's broad domestic and international business knowledge, combined with his conviction in faith and respect for others, results in significant growth, and improved achievements for his clients.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Economics from Lehigh University and his MBA degree from San Francisco State University. He also completed the GE Manager Development and Executive Development Courses.
Dan and Jerri, his wife of 46 years, reside in Lake Oswego, Oregon, and have two grown daughters. Dan serves as a Eucharistic Minister and on the Endowment Committee at St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church in Portland as well as several committees and Toastmasters at Arlington Club in Portland, Oregon. When he is not working, Dan enjoys wine, cooking, auto racing, snow skiing, and playing bad golf.
