Tom Brewer, drawing on over 30 years of a successful career at Ford Motor Company, has continued practicing what he enjoyed most: installing processes and building winning teams! His direct, honest feedback style, along with his extensive business acumen and leadership background, serves the key needs for all senior executives: 1) The need for relevant experience; 2) The need for a broad perspective; 3) The need for an independent sounding board and complete trust.

With a variety of senior executive positions, Tom’s background is in general management as well as marketing and sales. He uses his abilities and experiences to coach other executives in driving positive and healthy change in their organizations.

Prior to joining the Building Champions team in 2016, Tom held a variety of senior executive positions with Ford Motor Company, including key international roles. His experience encompasses: Director of Sales, Marketing and Service, Ford of Brazil; National General Marketing Manager of Lincoln Mercury; President of Ford Operations, Thailand; Vice President Marketing, Sales and Service with Ford Asia, Pacific & Africa; and General Manager for Ford Motor Company in the Western United States (WMA). The WMA was consistently the #1 performing market and contributed profits of over $1 billion on a net revenue of nearly $10 billion with approximately 700,000 retail and fleet vehicle sales annually. He was responsible for 165 employees and 450 dealerships.

Through his long and successful global career, he gained expertise in the following areas: Leadership Development, Improving Organizational Culture, Global Business Management, Process Improvement, Revenue Growth and Management, Operational Excellence and Strategic Vision/Tactical Implementation.

Through his compassionate mix of providing advice, counseling and coaching, Tom has the ability to drive change and get results. He has a gift for identifying talented team members, developing them into outstanding leaders and leading ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Tom drives change through team-building, strong business acumen, process improvement, discipline follow-up, and ultra-competitiveness. He offers his clients the assurance that they are able to talk to him in confidence with trust and authenticity, knowing he is not a stakeholder or paymaster.

Tom serves as Vice Chair for the Board of Directors of the Orange County Gang Reduction and Intervention Partnership (GRIP) where he has been a mentor for six years. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Florida and a Corporate Business Marketing Diploma from Duke Fuqua School of Business. Tom is a licensed pilot who enjoys golf, tennis, running and spending time with his wife, Lynda, and three sons.
